Innovative Law Users Group

March 29, 1996

Dear Innovative Law User:

This is the second mailing of the Innovative Law Users group for 1995-1996. According to our records, you are the designated ILUG contact person for your library. Please feel free to make copies of any enclosed documents to share with staff members at your library.

The following documents are enclosed:

Please note that ballots should be returned to me by May 1, 1996.

Voting

We have two excellent candidates for the position of Vice Chair/Chair Elect to assist our incoming Chair Richard Jost, who will assume his new duties at the close of the ILUG Business Meeting in Indianapolis on Saturday July 20th. Please take the time to vote for the incoming Vice Chair of your choice and to confirm Terry Toy as our treasurer.

I am also requesting that you vote to adopt the proposed bylaws for ILUG. While Richard Jost and I will be attending the forthcoming IUG meeting in Providence, we will be doing so at the expense of our libraries. Given that we proposed the bylaw providing for ILUG to offer financial support for a representative of ILUG to attend the Annual Meeting of the Innovative Users Group, we felt that it would be inappropriate for us to receive financial assistance from ILUG.

Fourth Annual Innovative Users Group Meeting
Providence, Rhode Island
ILUG Program - Monday, April 29 - 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon

Richard Jost and I look forward to seeing many of you at the IUG meeting at the end of April. After the ILUG program, Richard and I plan to be available to continue discussion over lunch. If your library will be represented at this meeting, please pass this information along to the appropriate person.

In Providence, we plan to discuss the enclosed ILUG mission statement. For those of you who are unable to attend the Providence meeting, please forward your comments and suggestions about the draft to me.

Half Day Workshop at AALL Annual Meeting in Indianapolis
Saturday, July 20th, 1996

The May ILUG mailing will contain details of the morning workshop and lunch planned for Saturday, July 20th. Please let me know if you have any topics you would like to see covered in the workshop.

ILUG Web Site

I hope that you have looked at our web site. Martin and Mark have done an impressive job and are happy to add more contributions. Please forward Martin copies of your locally created III documentation, or alternatively send us your URL so we can establish a link to your documentation.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions or comments about ILUG.

Sincerely,

Carole L. Hinchcliff
